when Rajeev and I first discussed the stop over in Europe on the way to our month long vacation in India, I was extremely excited…we even shortlisted Paris for our 5 day trip. But when he said why not go to Amsterdam first, we can meet up with your friend who lives there, I was over the moon! Pals for past 7 years now.. even the two years since I had last seen her and being on two different continents didn’t dampen my spirits. And from the moment we landed on the Amsterdam Schipol airport to the time we boarded the flight to India, it felt like old days…like we just picked up from where we left off almost two years back.
As for Amsterdam, although we didn’t spend enough time there, from the people playing chess on the streets and bicyles outnumbering cars on the road to the pretty houses lining the canals, the easy going, laid back charm completely captivated us!
